The Firm advises employers, employees, and labor organizations in all aspects of employment law, including employment policies, non-competition and non-solicitation agreements, confidentiality agreements, employment contracts,  independent contractor agreements., and collective bargaining agreements.  In addition, the Firm represents employers, employees, and labor organizations in all types of employment disputes and litigation, including cases involving whistleblowers, job discrimination, harassment, unemployment, contract disputes, trade secrets, grievances, and labor disputes.
REPRESENTATIVE EXPERIENCE
The following are examples of services previously provided (results may vary), but this is not an exhaustive list of prior representation:
  • Served as counsel for a union overseeing the interests of professional golf officials in collective bargaining negotiations, negotiations with third-parties for marketing and sponsorship agreements, employee grievances, litigation, and reorganized the union and obtained non-profit status.

  • Served as counsel for a trade association overseeing the interests of professional golf caddies in negotiations with the PGA Tour, negotiations with third-parties for marketing and sponsorship agreements, and organized and filed for non-profit status.

  • Served as counsel for a union overseeing the interests of professional golf statistics and scoring administrators serving on the ShotLink staff in obtaining certification as a union, collective bargaining negotiations, employee grievances, and obtained non-profit status.

  • Obtained a permanent injunction on behalf of a logistics company involving the theft of trade secrets by a former employee.

  • Represented coaches in their career progression and branding including the negotiation and drafting of employment agreements and buyouts.

  • Drafted wrestler agreement, employee handbook, non-compete agreements, and arbitration agreements for a wrestling organization that offers training and events throughout Texas.

  • Represented employee and favorably settled claim against employer for workplace discrimination.

  • Represented a student-athlete against a Division I institution in pre-suit negotiations to favorably resolve a Title IX dispute.

  • Conducted independent investigations on behalf of Division I institutions regarding the alleged improper treatment and harassment of student-athletes by members of the coaching staff.

  • Represented college coaches in investigations conducted by the institution relating to alleged violations of Title IX and cleared the coach of any wrongdoing.

  • Represented college coaches in alleged internal policy violations, sexual harassment and misconduct, harassment, Title IX violations, and player treatment matters.

  • Represented athletes in drug test appeals relating to the alleged ingestion of performance enhancing substances before various administrative and governing bodies and tribunals.

  • Represented and enforced non-compete and non-solicitation agreements on behalf of a client in the technology sector when several employees left the company for a competitor.

  • Drafted and negotiated employment agreements, non-compete and non-solicitation agreements, collective bargaining agreements, entity bylaws and constitutions, drug test policies, sexual harassment and misconduct policies, and compliance manuals. 

  • Litigated numerous cases and grievances relating to the employer/employee relationship and also conducted investigations relating to alleged violations of employer code and/or regulatory code.

  • Represented before an arbitration tribunal and recovered damages on behalf of a physician leaving a medical practice including financial resolution of the partnership and removal of non-compete and non-solicitation agreement.

  • Represented and negotiated on behalf of a medical group for the employment of physicians.

  • Drafted and negotiated employment agreements for physicians.
